Bowie Wireless Association

An Amateur Radio Club in Bowie, MD

What is the Bowie Wireless Association?

At the Bowie Wireless Association, our mission is to empower FCC licensed Amateur Radio Operators (Hams) with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the world of amateur radio. Whether you're interested in high-frequency (HF), very high frequency (VHF), or ultra high frequency (UHF) operations, we're here to guide you.

We take pride in our commitment to public service. We are active participants in the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES), where we work closely with local organizations to ensure communication is reliable during times of crisis. Our collaboration with the National Weather Service's SkyWarn service in Prince George's County, MD, allows us to play a vital role in providing early warnings and assistance during severe weather events.

We believe in the power of knowledge and preparedness. That's why we assist members training in the Incident Command System (ICS) for the benefit of various agencies at the city, county, and state levels. We're passionate about using our expertise to benefit the community at large.

We are enthusiasts of the Amateur Radio hobby as a whole. We supply communications support for local community events and are dedicated to fostering the growth of amateur radio.

Join us in our mission to connect, serve, and expand the world of amateur radio!
